Paris' odd and unusual Art
Amongst all the exciting shops in Paris, specifically on Rue de L'Universite, close to the Rue des Saints Peres, where the Paris de Gournay showroom is situated; we can find these sculptural piecesof Vanite' made by the showroom itself. What I find unusual about this vignette is the hit of turquoise, verdigris and green that only appear in the living elements. Everything else that symbolizes death, or decay, or antiquity is portayed as "non colourful".. The colour of sand, erosion and clay. Those colours really pop out of the screen and arrangement. Plus I love how the butterfiles juxtaposes themselves very nicely with the skulls underneath them. The variation of textures is beautifully arranged.
