Yesterday, a very nice lady came to my house to buy my little 2 year old crib set for her daughter who is expecting. She seemed to love my house, and asked some decorating advice as far as colour went.. She asked: "What is turquoise?". I scrambled through my fan decks to give her an better idea of what turquoise really looks like. Turquoise to me is "holiday", "sun", "beach", "pop of fun", "hit of unexpected colour". You can do no wrong by bringing in turquoise whether painting an accent wall, or an entire room. I love turquoise with dark grays and deep indigoes, gray beige, stone colours, against a fresh crisp white, or paired with apple greens, mauves, lavender, or verdigris.... Here are a few paint chip favourites: Blue ground by Farrow and Ball, Angelic Blue 23-4 by Pratt and Lambert, Myth, 23-8 Pratt and Lambert, Clear Sailing, CC-784 Benjamin Moore. Any touch of turquoise will always add great pizzazz whether as a piece of furnishing, textiles, artwork etc...
Have fun!
