HI! All,

Round edges: how do we incorporate this notion into our day-to-day life. How we treat others, how sharp or soft our blows are."Round edges" also makes great sense on an interior design and decorating perspectives. It's better flow, it's easier to navigate within the space, and its also more visually appealing! In short, there is no going wrong! I'm reminded to treat others with respect and expect the same in return, and think of how round my edges are with others, and most importantly, I try to incorporate it also in the spaces i create with decorative arts & furnishings;)

The magic of Lorena Santin-Andrade

I had the pleasure of meeting an incredible artist a few months ago at a Design Show in Oakville! Not only she paints and draws like noone else out there, she also manipulates fabrics like a true genius. Her name is Lorena Santin-Andrade. In my eyes, and many who have met her, she can truly turn water into wine! From remnants of felts and other fabric materials she can create gorgeous garments, ponchos, scarves, and is now venturing into home decor accessories. I cannot wait to see what's next! I invite you to visit her amazing website : www.lorenasantinandrade.com

Wind....

 Via La Dolce Vita

I apologize for my absence!.. While I was away, i really got a true sense of what personal whirl wind feels like which is what inspired me to talk about "wind" in design. Not the atmospheric displacement of air, as much as creating a strong emotion and movement into a space. I find this particularly hard to do, and much has to be considered in order to acheive that sense of great mouvement in a room:).. I think it definitely begins with how to arrange artwork together, and how the shape of furnishing can echo the movement existing in the artwork. A vortex can be created around artwork, objects d'arts, accessories, colours, and layout! There also needs to be height and width... Its another spacial dimention of design that i find fun to work with:)
