Henry Moore exhibition, AGO Toronto

I'm getting extremelly excited about my trip to the AGO to see Henry Moore exhibition. This is my second time and couldnt get enough of it. He was a British sculptor 30 July 1898 – 31 August 1986, best known for his abstract bronze monumental open air sculptures. He was mostly known for introducing modernism to England and capitalizing on commitioning large pieces of sculptures around the world, including Toronto. His work was mostly portrayed as Mother and Child, and his later work featured family portraits sculptures. His curvatious sculptures were also known to echo the pastoral landscapes of England. This is when you know a true genius was at work! Enjoy those few images!

These are Henry Moore's(1898-1986) bronze statues on display in the Hakone Open-Air Museum.

Most of his work was created with bronze especially his monumental open air pieces. I particularly love the ones that have that patinated copper finish. For a paint sample "Clover" by Pratt and Lambert is as close as you can get to that natural coppery chemical reaction!
