I invite you to visit your local reuse center after you are done spring cleaning your home. Its a great way to recycle, and give back to the community. While you are there, check out the shelves and spray paint to give your new finds a fresh look for spring. We have been plagued by a long and dreary winter, so colours are in order! You can revamp your nightstand, spray paint flower stands (so you can use it as a stand for artwork), spray paint chairs, mirrors etc... The choice is endless!
Enjoy:)

Shots of gold

Good morning readers! This post is dedicated to the influence of gold in interiors. As you know, gold has a metallic colour, and gold is yellow. I much prefer it to silver, I find that it has much more warmth to it, and it has an unexpected look to it. The one I stay away from is polished brass which can be seen as too "granny" and "tacky" bu most people. One of my project now is a master bedroom with a strong reference to golds, yellows and dark yellows. I am bringing in a few accent notes such as a violet and a touch of mauve to break it all up. When you look at a colourwheel, it is the complimentary colour of yellows.Gold metals marries very well with everything and adds that extra dimension that is considered a reflective surface. Personally, i'm not crazy about mixing metals, I find it too jarring and it looks too much like we are trying to move into the next "phase" of metal working in interiors. So, I pass!

Have a fantastic day!
