Happy New Year to all:)

This is my favourite time of year. It has always felt as though I was sitting on top of time. I'm starting with my favourite foil into any room and that is the use "mauve". A great backdrop to black and white photography.

(House Beautiful-Fall 2010) - This house was amazing. Purples, reds, and light pinks. Most of this house portrayed amazing Chinoiserie wallpaper that showed its age. Absolutely stunning choice of colours. daring to be vibrant.

(Kelly Wearstler) Noone masters the use of colours better than Kelly Wearslter. Patterns are also playing off of each other like a symphony.

(Katie Did blog)- My favourite colour combination is caramel with mauve. it really breaks the orange undertones. Loving any David Hicks reference in any setting. Adding geometrics creates symmetry and repetition. The same goes with carpeting with pattern, it is in my view much more interesting to look at. Plus It also creates a certain vibe when you walk on it. Please do try it at home!
