Designer: Saltzer- Great backsplash- I will have to find a similar one out there:)
New Year apartment vignette- David Netto (great flooring-art deco inspired)
Via Dorsey Miller- Who ever said purple was a no-go? not me! Especially when foiled with caramel and honey tones
Via Dorsey Miller- I cannot get enough of how classy stripes are. Its like a dress shirt on a man. It brings masculinity with an edge.

Vignettes
Here are a few vignettes i stumbled upon again wile reading my design blogs (Eye Spy again... )... I absolutely love the impact a vignette can generate. A vignette is considered a focal point in which can be featured an arrangement of artwork, flowers, boxes, light. It has to flow and be connected. One can play with textures, colours, reflective surfaces. The possibilities are endless! I appreciate a well balanced vignette, with substance and character. A vignette can exist anywhere in the house where there is a free space for it. Generally a vignette sports a mirror or artwork above a table/console etc... The older the items displayed, the better it looks!.. here are a few, and then a few of my own!

The reason why I posted pictures of nature first before interiors, was because I wanted to show the progression of colours in nature first. This is precisely the way I see colours. I have been told that I had a real keen sense of seeing colour variations , but I truly believe it comes from watching nature. Watching it very closely. Very closely and trying to memorize it! That being said, I invite you to scroll through those pictures one more time and see how nature can extroapolate itself throughout a well composed interior. Personally I love lilac, i believe its the perfect foil to any colour, or the perfect neutral. Keep in mind, lilac walls are daring but the perfect canvas to black and while photography! Its warm and wintery all at the same time. Enjoy!

Christmas is coming!
Christmas is around the corner again! I must say the best gift of all is the fact that i was able to start my own Interior Design company in a month and already have the best clients! I love my new career path, and my new life! I'm becoming one of those people that say how lucky they are for practicing what they love! What a great feeling! I'm grateful to have beautiful children, and just to be healthy! Let enjoy the small things in life and be grateful for what we have around us, and appreciate the beauty all around us!... By the way, I love the vignette I just posted. Careful when picking "gray-based" paints. This colour does not work in North facing rooms, or in a room that has poor natural light!... ;)

Carved legs
How much do I love that extra little detail! Carved legs on a pedestrian-looking table. What a surprise! Nothing adds shape, and texture like this table. Also love what so "in" right now, the "driftwood" table. Beautiful, but I'm wondering, could we make this into a fun DIY? If are able to do it, let me know....ps: I absolutely love how the colours inter-mingle with one another between the driftwood table, and the artwork/vignette and choice of wall colour (Images via Design by Delight)
